"Non-artists" and amateur artists join us in Kerala, India! We will begin designing and producing an art piece, under the direction of a professional artist from Kerala, starting in mid-2008. Locals and people from around the world will be collaborating, and you are invited. This extraordinary opportunity is absolutely free, aside from your trip costs, and you will be making history! We recognize the impact of travel on our planet. Most people will have to burn carbon in order to reach the Beauty of Water artworksite. We encourage collaborators to consider their own offset program: if you drive a car, maybe you can carpool, bike, or take public transportation for a month instead; if you have an international service project in mind, combine it with this trip; if you would rather be a part of the action by making a donation, we recognize this as collaboration as well... The possibilities are endless! We welcome your participation in the ways that are just right for you.

Support Our Work
Beauty of Water is a non-profit, cross-cultural, gift-economy
creation. We rely on sharing, inspired contributions, cash
donations and in-kind gifts, networks, and your highest intentions
sent from the heart. Here are some ways your money (shown in US$), skills,
material and other offerings can become a part of the action.
Financial Donations
- We are co-developing curriculum and helping provide personnel for childrens camps held in different eco-systems throughout Kerala, serving 400 youth ages 10-17. Our cost: $400/Rs.1600.
- We are co-developing curriculum and supporting experiential learning activities for a fine arts college course on the topic of artistic collaboration and nature in art, with focus on water. Our cost: $2000/Rs.80,000.
- We are co-hosting a professional art camp with corresponding gallery show and documentation. Our cost: $5000/Rs.2 lakhs.
- We are introducing rural village programs involving expressive arts and community meaning-making. Our estimated cost: $2000/Rs.80,000.
- We are seeding our signature project: collaborative design and production of one new art piece on the theme of appreciation for water. Our estimated cost: $10,000/Rs.4 lakhs.
- We perform ongoing coordination and administration to continue advancing the Beauty of Water mission. Our cost $600/Rs.24,000 per month.
- We are documenting all of the above! A digital video camera will help. Camera cost: $2000/Rs.80,000, or donate the camera itself!
